After a very long time, I got back on my bike. And I don't regret it! Without that quick ride, there was nothing left of the moment.
It's purely my impression that prevails. Long strips of morning pink light filtered through the trees, and tree shadows cast strips of darker cool purple. Together they dyed the mist, and beneath all that striped blanket was hidden pond.
The moon was fading away in the blue sky, looking down at itself in the mirror.
The first trees caught the bright sun in their crowns, but otherwise everything was coated in subtle notes of mist that rose slowly upward together with the sun.
