I walked all day along Vltava river. A blue thunderstorm was chasing me from behind, thistles were tangled in my hair, and it wasn't until dusk that I got to this place and painted.
The South Pole of Prague, The Vltava river curves along the canyon here, its peaks bathed for a brief moment in the hot red sun, and only when they saw their red beauty in the mirror it cooled off. The mirror surface danced with the rock walls and then quickly darkened. Until it completely disappeared and there was only an endless pit.
When I turned around, I realized, the journey I'd left behind, is now waiting again in front of me just in the night version. It was fun chasing country buses in the middle of the night and even bigger cutting thistles out of my hair later at home.
