White thick fog everywhere nothing white nothing

I have to stay on the road. Neither left nor right, in front of me and behind me nothing but endless white. I need to step out of the path to find a good spot to paint, but at the same time I can't, I'd get lost.

I get to a secluded spot where I wade through the knee-deep snow. And from the thick fog, a beautiful strong tree extends its life-saving hand to me.

To my misfortune, it was right by the shooting range, and every moment I would jump when there was a loud shot. There were many of them and even more rain, but that can't take away my enthusiasm.
