Inspirations come and go, disregarding our expectations, plans, or situations we find ourselves in when they appear out of nowhere. The perfect proof of it is this painting. It was the evening before we left, it was raining, and soon a school meeting was on. BUT I don't waste my inspirations! Everything went aside and the easel taken out.
I love the composition and the direction of the brush strokes along the treetop circle. The colors remind me exactly of how I looked into the water and stared into the gentle darkening transitions on the thick, pure gray to purplish sky.
