The first of the larger canvases in a very long period of time and quite a shock was to finish it. The plan was simple, to climb to vantage point and paint a beautiful sunset from here.
I actually had that on the canvas for a moment. But the sun quickly fell down and sky went dark. Scary storm, perfect for crazy storm hunters, was rolling right on me. I thought of packing things up and running back home, but I'd be deprived of such a spectacle, especially when the canvas was here and ready to be used. I couldn't leave.
