It always starts as an innocent plan. This time I was going to paint meadow flowers not more than a minute away from home and, as always, an all-day hike on every hill I knew about was on (when I returned every flower was mowed down, I guess my feeling to search somewhere else was right).

As I am always looking for a subject that will inspire a vision in me - how I want to capture the place with a little experimentation and shifting my comfort boundaries forward.

When I looked into the sun, my eyes were blinded and the pines in front of it were lost in the white glare. After finishing there was a lot of dirt on the painting that got there by an accident and now I really have a feeling that the painting is more connected to that place.
